Elvis Presley: A Moment in Time Fine Art Prints

No one knew what to expect when LOOK magazine sent a reporter and photographer to cover Elvis on the last leg of his tour in May of 1956. Sending a team out to get the Elvis story was a turnaround for the magazine. In April, one of the editors at LOOK, Bill Arthur, turned down the idea of covering Elvis. Like many people his age, he didn’t like rock ‘n roll and said Elvis “is rather repulsive.”

One month later he was overruled and LOOK, like the rest of the country was fascinated by Elvis.

Sonic Editions is making a collection of Fine Art Prints from the tour and there’s an eBook available on Amazon.

Elvis was finally home after a grueling tour and he had a couple of weeks to hang out with his parents and friends.
